Roy sparked a social media firestorm a month ago with gossipy tidbits she was "Becky with the great hair," a character name-checked in a confessional Beyoncé song around an alleged Jay Z affair. However, she denied being "Becky" in the wake of being swarmed by the Beyhive on her Instagram.
At Monday’s CFDA gala, Rachel Roy arrived with model Candice Huffine, whom she dressed for the occasion. The two posed together on the red carpet and afterward made it inside.
Once bits of gossip began to circumvent that the Carter's were making their entry. Witnesses say Roy got her place card and vanished from the occasion and never returned.
A friend of Roy's said she just left the occasion early on the grounds that she had an early flight the following morning to be with her children out in LA.
