New Orleans Pelicans player Bryce Dejean-Jones was shot to
death early Saturday in Dallas, with his specialist saying it happened in light
of the fact that the player erroneously entered the wrong condo.
His agent said Dejean-Jones had visited his girlfriend’s new
apartment on Friday and came back that same night but went to the wrong unit on
the floor below her apartment.
The 23 year old knocked on the front door and
bedroom door when the resident fired his gun, which hit Dejean-Jones in the
abdomen. He collapsed outside and died at the hospital from his injuries.
Dejean-Jones, 23, just signed a three-year contract worth
two million dollars with the New Orleans Pelicans in February.
